Mumbai: State Water Resources Minister Jayant Patil's health suddenly deteriorated at a cabinet meeting of the Maharashtra government last Wednesday. He was then admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Let me tell you that Jayant Patil is also the state president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and returned a day earlier after visiting the flood-affected districts. Recently, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said, "Jayant Patil is currently under the supervision of doctors and is being tested in the emergency ward.''

At the same time, he said, "His CT scan and 2D ECHO report are pending. Patil will hold angiography tomorrow morning if required.'' It is also reported that Patil was uneasy during the meeting and left the meeting midway and walked out. His colleagues rushed him to the hospital after his health worsened. Jayant Patil was accompanied by his son and some other family members at Breach Candy Hospital. According to reports, Jayant Patil was accompanied by four other ministers and after reaching the hospital he was rushed to the emergency ward where all his necessary tests were conducted.

No medical bulletin has been issued by the doctors so far. However, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope says Jayant Patil is still under the supervision of doctors and the situation is said to be under control. A few hours after Jayant Patil was admitted to the hospital, he was written in Marathi on Twitter, 'With the blessings of all of you, I am in very good health. There is no need to worry. I went to the hospital for regular check-ups. The doctor has advised me to rest. Don't believe any rumors. I will be back in your service soon. Thank you!'
