Nagpur: A five-year-old girl was beaten to death by her parents in Maharashtra's Nagpur in the name of 'black magic.' In this case, the police said that the incident took place on the intervening night of Friday-Saturday. In this case, the police have arrested the girl's father Siddharth Chimney, mother Ranjana and aunt Priya Bansod. A senior police officer said that Chimney, a resident of Subhash Nagar, runs a local news channel on YouTube. He had visited the dargah in the Takalghat area last month with his wife, two daughters aged five and 16, on Guru Purnima. Since then the man was feeling some change in his younger daughter's behaviour. The officer also said that the father believed that the child was "possessed by some evil forces" and decided to do "black magic" to drive them away.

With this, the girl's parents and aunt started doing 'black magic' at night and also made a video of her, which was later recovered by the police from their phones. At the same time, in the video, the accused are seen asking some questions to the crying girl. In this case, the officer said that the child could not understand the questions. During this time, the three accused beat the child badly, after which she fell unconscious and fell on the ground. The accused then took the girl to a dargah on Saturday morning and later, they took her to the Government Medical College and Hospital and fled from there. At the same time, the official said that a security guard of the hospital got suspicious of them and took a picture of his car on his mobile phone.

Apart from this, he said that the doctors of the hospital later declared the child was brought dead and informed the police. The accused were identified on the basis of the vehicle registration number. At the same time, the police officer further said that the officials of Rana Pratap Nagar police station reached the house of the accused and arrested them. The accused were reportedly booked under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Maharashtra Prevention of Human Sacrifice and other inhuman, bad and Aghori practices and the black magic act.
