Pune: A case of the brutal murder of a girl in the Pune district of Maharashtra has come to light. A girl studying in Class VIII and a kabaddi player from the Bibadwadi area of Pune has been stabbed to death several times with a sharp weapon. The incident has created panic in the area. Deputy Commissioner of Police Namrata Patil has reported the matter.

According to her, the 14-year-old girl went to practice kabaddi in the evening. It was then that her relative Rishikesh alias Shubham Bhagwat came on his friend's bike and started hitting the girl with a sharp weapon before she could understand anything. The victim's friends were also present at the spot. But the attacker threatened them and fled the spot.

The girl injured in the attack was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. Police have indicated that the murder was due to unrequited love. Police have also found a gun at the spot. In search of the killers, the police team is raiding from place to place.
