Mumbai: Maharashtra is witnessing a wave of devastation. The rain has engulfed it in a terrible way and many people have lost their lives. The havoc of accidents has not stopped here. Villages, streets, roads, cities are flooded and water logged. The disaster is yet to end and unfortunately there is a need to be on alert for the next 24 hours. In fact, the Met department (IMD) has warned that the impact of the rain havoc may increase further. Many places in Maharashtra, a warning of heavy rain has been issued even today.

In fact, there is a low pressure area around the Bay of Bengal. At the same time, humid winds are blowing continuously towards the west from here. As a result, the beaches of Maharashtra, Goa and Kerala are in a conducive rainy season. The monsoon will be active in the coastal areas of Konkan in Maharashtra and hilly areas of Madhya Maharashtra for the next two to three days. It is also said that the impact will gradually subside next week.

It is also being said that in konkan and some parts of western Maharashtra for the next 24 hours, there will be heavy rain at some places. At the same time, moderate to torrential rains are also expected in many parts of Marathwada in the next 24 hours. A red alert has been sounded in the hilly areas of Pune, Satara and Kolhapur in western Maharashtra including Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg today (Saturday, July 24).
