Mumbai: About 16 districts of Maharashtra are likely to receive rain even today. On the other hand, heavy rain alert has been sounded in areas like Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar. In fact, recently, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that Maharashtra will continue to receive rain till the end of this week. It has been said that heavy rain is likely to occur in Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar today while an orange alert has been sounded in Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Sindhudurg, and Ratnagiri districts of Maharashtra for the next two days. According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in the states of Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, and Gujarat till September 11.

 

 

Let us also tell you that last Wednesday also, many parts of Maharashtra are reeling under flood situation due to heavy rains. On the other hand, 31 people have been died in incidents of heavy rains in Marathwada in Maharashtra in the last week. A recent administrative official said 12 deaths were registered on Tuesday. Moreover, it has been reported that the Marathwada area has been receiving heavy rain for the past week and so far 31 people have died in rain-related incidents.

Meanwhile, 19 people died between September 1 and September 6. According to IMD, eight districts of 145 circles of Marathwada have received more than 65 mm rainfall till Tuesday in the last 24 hours. In addition, the official said that four out of 31 people died in Aurangabad and four each died in Hingoli, Jalna while two each in Parbhani and Osmanabad, seven in Nanded, five in Beed, and three in Latur.
