Mumbai: Bharatiya Janata Party's National Executive President JP Nadda will talk to the party leaders in Maharashtra about the distribution of seats between the BJP and Shiv Sena in the upcoming assembly elections in Mumbai. According to BJP sources, Nadda may go on a tour of Maharashtra before Ganesh Visarjan.
Preparations are going on for a meeting between J.P Nadda and Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray. JP Nadda will submit a political report of the state to BJP National President Amit Shah. The final decision regarding BJP and Shiv Sena alliance in the assembly elections will be taken by Amit Shah.
The Election Commission of Maharashtra Assembly 2019 elections dates can be announced anytime before 15 September after Ganesh Visarjan. While the BJP is preparing to remove all the obstacles regarding an alliance with Shiv Sena before Ganesh Visarjan (Anant Chaturthi) festival.
Meeting on seat sharing
There has been a tussle over the seat-sharing between both the Shiv Sena and the BJP. A meeting will take place on seat sharing between BJP and Shiv in Mumbai. PM Modi is also going to visit Mumbai on September 7.
