Mumbai: The second wave of corona virus is now coming to an end. But Maharashtra is still showing the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, which is why it is yet to be unlocked completely. There are still stringent restrictions but in the meantime the Maharashtra government has taken a major decision on lockdown restrictions. In fact, late last Friday night, the state government announced that it was going to relax lockdown restrictions from Monday under its five-tier unlock scheme. At the same time, the lockdown in Maharashtra will be relaxed depending on the covid positivity rate and availability of oxygen beds in the state.

Let us also tell you that this order of the State Government will come into force from Monday. In a recent statement, the Maharashtra government said, "Lockdown restrictions will be relaxed based on covid positivity rate and availability of oxygen beds in the state. As per the seriousness level of Covid-19, the degree of exemption has been fixed in the districts of the State. The Public Health Department will assess the situation every Thursday, if the guidelines issued are accepted. In addition, a 5 level unlock plan has been prepared to remove lockdown restrictions in the State."

Level 1: All districts where the positivity rate of covid case is 5 per cent or less and the occupancy number of hospital beds is less than 25 per cent, falls under Level 1. All these districts will be allowed to be fully unlocked and all activities will continue normally. In addition, theatres, malls, private and government offices will be allowed to be opened in these districts. Similar weddings, funerals will also be allowed for people to attend and shoot the film. At the same time, manufacturing and other industries can also be restarted in level 1 and 2 sectors without any restrictions.

Level 2: Cities and districts in the State which have a positivity rate of 5% covid-19 cases and 25-40% occupancy on hospital beds will be included in Level 2. Section 144 will remain in force in the districts under Level 2. Restaurants, gyms, salons and beauty parlours will be allowed to operate at 50 per cent capacity.

Level 3: All districts where the positivity rate of covid case is 5-10 per cent and the occupancy number of hospital beds is less than 40-60 per cent will be under Level 3.

Level 4: All districts or areas where the positivity rate of covid-19 case is 10-20 per cent and the occupancy number of hospital bedrs is 60-75 is covered under Level 4.

Level 5: The covid-19 positivity rate of 20% and above and occupancy number of hospital beds will come under city and district level 5 with more than 75%. There will be no discounts here.
