Mumbai: The number of crime cases in the country continues to grow. If people get justice, then it is delayed. Many times people keep asking for justice for themselves but they do not get justice. Meanwhile, the India Justice Report -2020 has come out. In which it is being said that Maharashtra is at the top in all the states in terms of giving justice to the people. Looking at the India Justice Report -2020 prepared by Tata Trusts, people in Maharashtra get the highest justice. Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Punjab and Kerala are followed by Maharashtra in this case.

The list of states with less than one crore population includes Tripura, Sikkim and Goa, who are giving maximum justice to their citizens. This report states that the number of women judges in India is just 29%, although the average of women judges in the High Court has increased from 11 to 13%, while that of the ancillary courts has increased from 28 to 30%.

Former Supreme Court judge MB Lokur, who wrote the preamble of the report, said that he is concerned about the number of pending cases. Justice Lokur said according to the National Judicial Data Grid, over 3.84 crore cases are pending in the district courts. According to him, if 474 lakh cases pending in all the High Courts are also added, then the number can cross 4 crores. He further spoke about the need for large-scale judicial reforms to deal with this condition.
