Pune: A big piece of news has come from Maharashtra. BJP MLA Nitesh Rane was travelling in a car on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway with his family members, but in the meantime, his vehicle was hit by a truck. It is being told that the accused truck driver who hit the collision has also been arrested by the police. However, Nitesh Rane and his family escaped unhurt in the tragic incident.

According to reports, the Pimpri-Chinchwad police are now investigating the entire case. No one was injured in the accident that took place at the Urs toll plaza on the expressway on Monday, police said. Rane, the Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Kankavli in Sindhudurg district, was returning to Mumbai after visiting the famous 'Lalbaugcha Raja' Ganpati pandal.

In this case, an officer of Shirgaon police station said, 'When Rane's car stopped at lane number three of the toll plaza at 6.30 pm, a truck hit him from behind. The rear part of the car got damaged due to this. Apart from this, the officer said that 'No one was injured in the accident.' He further added, 'We have registered a case against the truck driver under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.'
