Sources say that Sharad Pawar was asked a question about Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut in which he claimed that Ajit Pawar will be the deputy CM of Maharashtra. Sanjay Raut said that this decision will be taken when the cabinet of Congress-Shiv Sena-NCP government in the state will be expanded. The NCP chief refused to give any explanation on this. Sharad mysteriously said, 'I have read Raut's statement, but I am the president of the party, so I know who is going to take oath in the cabinet expansion.'
On Friday, Ajit Pawar repeated the State Anti-Corruption Bureau in front of the High Court in the alleged irrigation scam that he has not found any evidence against Ajit. Amidst the deadlock after the formation of the government in Maharashtra last month, Ajit Pawar surprised and he joined the BJP to form the government. Ajit was sworn in as deputy chief minister in a BJP-led government last month, although this government could only run for 80 hours.
