Villagers of Khadiyal village are filling water from a deep well by tying their plastic and metal cans, buckets and bottles with ropes to fetch water. According to the villagers, "They are risking their lives for a bucket of water. ''

A villager, while talking to the media, has said that "there are two wells in the village which have almost dried up. A village with a population of 15,00 is dependent on 2-3 tankers for water every day. Another villager has said, "Water is also being supplied through two tankers pouring water into the dry wells in the village. People risk their lives to draw water from wells. The risk of diseases increasing by drinking dirty water has become even greater. "

The villagers say that the condition of the road is also bad. One villager has said, "If a person falls ill, there is no way to take him to a hospital. With the onset of summer, one gets to hear the news of the water crisis from different parts of the country, including Maharashtra. Just last week, reports of water shortage were received from Chichlekhare, a village in Nashik, to hear. In Chichlekhaira village, women walk three to four kilometres daily for water. The water level of the well has gone down a lot, so the people of the village are putting their lives at stake to draw water.
