Ujjain: Mahashivaratri festival will be celebrated on 21 and 22 February in Mahakaleshwar temple. Meanwhile, the doors of the temple will be open for 44 hours. At any time, devotees will be able to see God at any time. Meanwhile priests will enter the sanctum sanctorum. No devotees will be able to enter the VIP sanctum.
The temple management committee has completely forbidden anyone from entering the Garbh Grah'. The devotees coming from the queues should not have any kind of disturbance in the darshan, so according to the temple committee member Pt Ashish Pujari, there will be regular worship and aarti of the Lord on February 20 in the temple. At the same time, the Bhasma Aarti will be closed at 4 am, after 7 am, 10.30 am and 7.30 pm and at 10.30 pm after the Arti.
On 21 February, the pats will open for Bhasma Aarti at 2.30 am. After the Bhasma Aarti, there will be aarti at 7 am, 10.30 am. Then, the sandalwood of God will be adorned. God will be anointed by the government at 12 noon. Abhishek puja will be done by Scindia and Holkar gharan at 4 pm, Aarti will be done at 7.30 pm. There will be no sleep aarti on this night. Then the doors of the temple will remain open. Mahashivaratri Mahapujan will be held from 11 o'clock at night, which will run till early in the morning on 22 February. On the 22nd, there will be sehra darshan from 6 in the morning. Aarti will be done at 7.30 am. After this, Sehra will descend at 11 am and Bhasma Aarti will be done at 12 noon. At 2 o'clock in the afternoon there will be an aarti to the Lord. The evening prayers will be closed at 7.30 pm and after 10.30 pm the sleeping aarti will be closed.
