Bhopal: While the 150th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was being celebrated on 2 October in the whole country, the case of Bapu's ashes being stolen from Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh has come to light. Not only this, but some unknown miscreants have also written 'anti-national' on Mahatma Gandhi's picture. This incident is of Bapu Bhawan in Rewa city, where on the photo of Mahatma Gandhi, unknown people stole the ashes of Bapu kept there along with writing 'Rashtradrohi'.

After this incident, there was a stir in the local police department. Rewa police confirmed the theft and said that they are investigating the matter. Rewa Superintendent of Police Abid Khan said that a case has been registered against Tehriar of Rewa District Congress President Gurmeet Singh.
