New Delhi: In this country, those who always talked about separation were given Z category protection, stone pelters were praised for injuring the country's defenders, courts were held in the middle of the night for the dreaded terrorists, Buddhists were killed and murdered and murderers from other countries were settled here. But remained so irritated with only one name that for 75 years he was declared a symbol of hatred. The name that was disappointed with the partition of India, the name that always dreamed of a united India, even after death... This is all about Nathuram Godse. Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated by Nathuram Godse on January 30, 1948. Let's tell you this story related to Nathuram Godse on this occasion...

Very few people know that the bodies of even the notorious terrorists of Kashmir are given to their families, in which anti-army, anti-India slogans are raised and terrorists give them gun salutes. But Nathuram Godse's body was not given to his family members by these so-called humanity contractors, but on the orders of the then government, the jail authorities burnt him on the banks of the Ghaggar river. Nathuram and Apte were placed in category B in jail. Nathuram was fond of drinking coffee and reading detective books. On November 15, 1949, a day before Godse was to be hanged, the family had gone to Ambala jail to meet him. Godse's niece and Gopal Godse's daughter Himani Savarkar had said in an interview that she had gone to Ambala jail with her mother to him meet a day before his hanging. She was two and a half years old at the time.

After his arrest, Godse identified Gandhi's son Devdas Gandhi (Rajmohan Gandhi's father) when he went to the police station to meet Godse. The meeting has been mentioned by Nathuram's brother and co-accused Gopal Godse in his book Gandhi Vadh Kyon. Gopal Godse writes in his book, "Devdas may have come in the hope that he would see a terrible face, a murderer thirsty killer of Gandhi's blood, but Nathuram was spontaneous and gentle." His morale remained intact. Unlike what Devdas might have thought, Nathuram still has a sense of gentleness, peace, and contentment on his face. Nathuram told Devdas Gandhi, "I am Nathuram Vinayak Godse. Editor of Hindi newspaper Hindu Rashtra. I was also there (where Gandhi was assassinated). Today you lost your father. You are hurt because of me. I am also deeply saddened by the pain that has been caused to you and your family. Please believe me, I have not done this work due to any personal enmity, I have no hatred for you nor any bad feelings.''

The same court banned the statement given by Nathuram Godse at the time of those who raised questions, while these people made every statement of Yaqub, the criminal of the Mumbai blasts, produce the news emotionally... Gopal Godse has mentioned the will of Nathuram in the paragraph of his book. The last line of which is- ''If the government lifts the ban on my statement made in the court, whenever it happens, I authorize you to publish it.'' It was also in the statements of Nathuram Godse that- My first responsibility is for Hindutva and Hindus, being a patriot and a world citizen.
