Mahatma Gandhi's Great Grandson Dies Of COVID-19

New Delhi: Global epidemic coronavirus is wreaking havoc in many countries of the world including India. Now the name of Mahatma Gandhi's great-grandson Satish Dhupelia has also been added. Dhupalia, of South Africa origin, died on Sunday due to Coronavirus at 66 and he celebrated his birthday three days ago. His family gave information about Dhupelia's death.

Satish Dhupelia's sister Uma Dhupelia-Maestri confirmed her brother's death was due to complications related to the coronavirus. He had been under treatment for a month due to pneumonia. At the same time, he came under the grip of corona infection. He has said in a social media post that, 'My dear brother died after suffering a month from pneumonia. He was hit by covid-19 during his treatment at the hospital. He had a heart attack on Sunday evening.

Satish Dhupelia's family has two sisters Uma and Kirti Menon, who live here. These three siblings are the heirs of Manilal Gandhi, whom Mahatma Gandhi left in South Africa and returned to India.
