Famous film director Mahesh Bhatt of Hindi cinema is now going to step into the digital world. Mahesh's company Vishesh Films and Jio Studio have joined hands for this web series. The series is yet to be named but it will be a dramatic love story that tells the story of a successful actress and a struggling filmmaker in the 70s. Mahesh Bhatt wrote on his Twitter, 'TA perfect beginning. Happy partnering with @jiostudios on our digital debut! A dramatic web-series based in 70s Bollywood exploring the relationship of a struggling filmmaker and a top actress of that era! The greatest location in the world is the human heart. @VisheshFilms @JioCinema.'

It is being told that this series will reveal the love story of Parveen Babi and Mahesh Bhatt himself. Parveen Babi was a successful actress in the 70s, while Mahesh Bhatt was a struggling director. He married his childhood love Lauren Bright ie Kiran Bhatt. In 1977, Parveen Babi met Mahesh Bhatt and the two started liking each other. Mahesh was married to Kiran but after meeting Parveen, he made up his mind to leave his wife and daughter.

Jio Studios, which has joined hands with Vishesh Films for this web series, also tweeted from its official Twitter handle saying, 'Delighted to announce our collaboration with master storytellers @VisheshFilms for web series based on a dramatic love story set in 70s Bollywood that explores the highs and lows of the relationship between a married struggling filmmaker and a top actress of that time ' This is not the first time Mahesh is going to show his and Parveen's story on screen. Earlier, the 1982 film 'Arth' and the 2006 film 'Woh Lamhe' starring Shiney Ahuja and Kangana Ranaut also reflected Mahesh's love and madness towards Parveen.
