Sumit Antil, an Olympic medalist, received the first-ever customized XUV700 from Mahindra. The business announced the new information on Twitter. At the 2020 Summer Paralympics, Antil won gold in the men's javelin throw F64 category. The XUV700 Javelin Edition would be given to the gold medal champions at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, according to Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra. The SUV, named the XUV700 Javelin Edition, will also be given to gold medalists Neeraj Chopra and Avani Lekhara in the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics.

With a distinctive paint scheme, the new XUV700 Javelin Edition pays tribute to the Olympic gold medalists. The automobile has a golden colour that can be seen on the vertical grille slats in the front, rear decals, and the brand emblem. The car's interior has a similar golden treatment that complements the car's external golden motif. Aside from the visual alterations, the rest of the details stay the very same.

Since its inception, the firm has received more than 65,000 reservations for the XUV700, according to the company. Customer deliveries will begin today, with a goal of delivering at least 14,000 XUV700s by January 14 of next year.

The top-of-the-line XUV was initially priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). After the business got the first 25,000 bookings for the XUV700, the cost was lowered. The car now costs between Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 22.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec AX7 Luxury (Seven seater) AWD trim.
