Olympian Neeraj Chopra, the first Indian to win a gold medal in athletics at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, received a personalised XUV700 from Mahindra. The sportsman proceeded to Twitter to post a photo of himself standing with a XUV700 Javelin Gold Edition that the manufacturer had particularly customised for the event's gold medalists.

Chopra expressed gratitude to Anand Mahindra, the company's chairman, for his "new set of wheels with some very particular personalization!"" "I'm looking forward to taking the automobile for a drive very soon," he added." The side of the gold medalist's automobile is emblazoned with a javelin-throwing image, as well as the mention of his world-record throe distance of 87.58 metres, in a photo provided by him.

Sumit Antil, an Olympian champion in the men's javelin throw F64 category at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, was recently presented with the first XUV700 Javelin Edition by Mahindra. Avani Lekhara, who earned a gold medal in the 10m air rifle standing position at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, will also get a customized Javelin Edition.

The new XUV700 Javelin Edition was produced in honour of the Olympic gold medalists and comes with a unique colour scheme. The front vertical grille slats, rear decals, and the Mahindra brand emblem all have a golden tint to them. The automobile also has a golden treatment on the inside, which matches the golden motif on the outside. The rest of the vehicle's mechanical and technical qualities are unchanged.

Since its introduction, Mahindra's flagship XUV700 SUV has garnered over 65,000 reservations. Customer deliveries of the SUV have begun, with the carmaker planning to deliver at least 14,000 XUV700s by January 14 of next year. The SUV is priced between Rs 12.49 lakh and Rs 22.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
