India's leading automobile manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra has today announced that it has resumed operations at its Igatpuri plants in Haridwar, Uttarakhand and Maharashtra as per the guidelines laid down by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The company says that it has taken health and safety precautions for its employees at the highest level in the two facilities. While Igatpuri plant manufactures Mahindra's Haridwar plant, it currently manufactures Scorpio and Bolero SUVs along with the company's small commercial vehicle Mahindra Alpha. For your information, let us tell you that the other plants of Mahindra which are located in Chakan and Nashik are completely under the Rage Zone. There is no update regarding the opening of these plants. Saying that Mahindra has recently announced the resumption of retail operations in India by reopening around 300 sales and service outlets across the country.
Mahindra has already issued new SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for both its production and retail facilities in India to ensure the health and hygiene of its employees, dealership personnel and customers. The company has also rolled out a host of industry-first, Zero Contact Service Experience, which will allow Mahindra customers to bring their vehicles without leaving their homes.
