India's leading automobile manufacturer Mahindra is about to launch its popular SUV car Scorpio with BS6 fuel emission standards. Although the launch date of the Mahindra Scorpio BS6 has not been revealed, the details of the variants and features of the new Scorpio BS6 have been revealed.

All the details of Scorpio BS6 have been recorded on Mahindra's website. Mahindra Scorpio BS6 will be offered in 4 variants - S5, S7, S9 and S11. At present, the Mahindra Scorpio BS4 model is also available in other and two variants - S3 and S11 AWD. The company is discontinuing both these models. Now the S5 has become the entry level variant of the Scorpio.

Mahindra has discontinued the entry level variant S3 of the Scorpio as well as its 2.5-liter diesel engine. This engine produces 75bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. The new Scorpio BS6 SUV will get a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine. This engine offers two types of power outputs - one with 120Nhp power with 280Nm torque and 40bhp power with 320Nm torque. The same, the S5 variant will get a 120bhp power engine with a 5-speed manual, while the other variants will get a 140bhp power engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox. There will be no option of automatic transmission with this engine. Every variant of the new Scorpio BS6 will get different features. Projector headlamps will be available in every variant except the S5. Reverse parking camera, rain sensing wipers, auto headlights in the top variant S11. However, security features will be available in every variant
