NIA has arrested the most wanted terrorist Harpreet Singh alias Happy Malaysia who is a resident of Miyadi Kalan village under Tehsil Ajnala, Amritsar, Punjab. His arrest took place when he landed at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport from Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. The initial FIR regarding the gruesome bomb blast in Ludhiana Court Building was registered on December 23 last year at Ludhiana's Police Station Division-5, later, on January 13, 2022, an FIR was also lodged by the NIA.
