Chennai: The main accused in the poisonous liquor case in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh has been arrested from Chennai. According to information, the Madhya Pradesh police team has arrested the main accused of the poisonous liquor case, Mukesh Kirar from Chennai. 25 people have lost their lives in this liquor case so far.

The arrest of the main accused in the liquor scandal, Mukesh Kirar, has been confirmed by Morena's SP SK Pandey. He said Mukesh was held from Chennai on Sunday night and is being brought to Morena. The other accused in the case will also be caught soon. Mukesh Kirar was absconding since the incident. On the other hand, Jaora sub-divisional magistrate Neeraj Sharma said that the house at Chhera village in Kirar has been demolished. This action has been taken for not replying to the notice in the matter.

Earlier, the two villages of Morena, 25 people lost their lives in the two villages of Morena, while the eyes of four people have been affected. Morena's DM and superintendent of Police have been replaced over the incident. Several including excise officer and Thana Incharge have been suspended. Based on the seriousness of the case, the state government had sent a special investigation team headed by Dr Rajesh Rajura, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department to Morena. The party has returned from there.
