New Delhi: Indian Railways has changed the structure of the Railway Board. Railways has ordered a transfer of 50 board directors and high-level officers to various boards. It has been cut by 25 percent. Earlier there were 250 officers in the Railway Board, but now there are 150 officers in the Board. This type of step has been taken several decades later. This transfer order was issued on Monday.
In this context, a senior official has said, 'This transfer decision is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. In October, the Ministry of Railways had prepared a plan, under which the officers posted in the Railway Board were to be reduced to increase the functionality of different zones. For a long time, it was believed that the number of people working in the Railway Board is more.
This plan was made for the first time in the time of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee government in the year 2000. Of the transferred officer railway cadre, 10 were officers IRSE and 10 IRTS officers, seven were in IRAS, six in IRSME, five in IRSEE, five in IRSSE, three in IRSS, three in IRPS and one in RPF.
