Suzuki Motorcycle India has reached a significant milestone in terms of manufacturing. The two-wheeler company stated on Monday that its Gurugram-based manufacturing plant has manufactured its six millionth unit.

Suzuki Motorcycle India's Managing Director, Satoshi Uchida, stated, "Suzuki Motorcycle India's 15-year presence in the nation will come to an end this year.
It's also reassuring to say that our Gurugram facility has produced the six millionth Suzuki two-wheeler in India."

"We are delighted that we were capable of achieving this milestone despite the hurdles posed by the second wave and the worldwide semiconductor scarcity," Uchida said in a statement released by the two-wheeler company.

Suzuki Motorcycle sells the Access 125, Gixxer 250 and 150 series, Burgman Street, and Avenis 125 in India, making it one of the major two-wheeler manufacturers in the country. Suzuki Motorcycle India was named the fifth largest two-wheeler producer in India in December of last year. Last month, the Japanese manufacturer sold 51,148 motorbikes and scooters in India.

Suzuki's latest model, the Avenis 125, was launched in India earlier this month. The Avenis 125 is a direct competitor to the TVS NTorq 125 sporty scooter, with a price of Rs 86,700 (ex-showroom). It has a 125cc engine with fuel injectors. At 6,750 rpm, this engine produces 8.7 PS of maximum power, with a peak torque of 10Nm at 5,500 rpm.

The six millionth milestone, according to Uchida, demonstrates the company's continuous commitment to providing greater value to clients in India.
