Worship method of Makar Sankranti:

To offer water to the Sun God, take water in a copper pot and mix red flowers, sandalwood, sesame and jaggery in it and dedicate this water mixture to Lord Sun God.
- Chant the mantra 'Un Surya Nam:' while offering water to the sun.
On this day, donate flour, lentils, rice, khichdi and sesame seeds to the charity.
