Lucknow: Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya is now emphasizing on the use of modern technology for the construction of bridges in the state. He has given clear instructions to the officers of the State Bridge Corporation to take special care of safety standards with the use of new technology in the construction of bridges, railway over bridges and flyovers. Looking at the future, he has given orders to prepare an action plan from now on to make a four lane bridge on a single pillar.

He further said that where construction works are going on, there must be a service road for the movement of people with barricading and lighting. At the organisation's high-level meeting at the Tathagata Auditorium of the Public Works Department headquarters, reviewing the progress of the works of the Setu Nigam, he has asked the senior officials of the railway to complete the work of the Setu Nigam itself by negotiating the remaining works of the railway upstream bridges.

He asked to install view cutters for the manufacture of flyovers. He directed to develop service road and movement facility for small trains near railway gates under ROBs built in big towns and districts. He instructed to make arrangements in the project's estimate to install sensors in the big bridges to be built in the future. The Deputy Chief Minister directed that Setu Nigam should issue toll free numbers and Whatsapp numbers on the type of public works department, on which the people can be asked for complaints and suggestions, and the complaints received should be resolved. Along with this, more emphasis is being given on modern technology.
