Hindi cinema actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patni's film Malang have completed a week in theaters. Apart from this, the pace of Malang has been slow in the first week. The collections have not seen much decline, due to which the film has collected well in seven days. Apart from this, Malang released on 7 February collected 3.20 crores on Thursday, with the first week earning 39.65 crores. If we look at the collections of the first week of films released in 2020 so far, Malang is third in the top 5. In the first place is Tanaji, who is still doing collections in theaters. In second place is Street Dancer 3D by Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor. Fourth is Chhapak and fifth is Jawani Jaaneman.

The journey to Malang in the first week has not been very spectacular but has been steady. If we look at the day-wise collections of the film in the first week, then Malang took an opening of 6.71 crores on the first Friday. On the second day, there was a surge in the collections of Malang and collected 8.89 crores, although, on the third day, the collection on Sunday was 9.76 crores. In this way, Malang had collected a decent collection of 25.36 crores in the opening weekend. The film had collected 4.04 crores on Monday, 3.80 crores on Tuesday and 3.25 crores on Wednesday.
Box office speed of Malang is better than Saif Ali Khan's Jawani Jaaneman, which collected only 20.21 crores in the first week. Malang has doubled collections. Jawani Jaaneman was released on 31 January. After colliding with Saif in the first week, Malang will take on Saif's daughter in the second week. Love has reached theaters from yesterday to today. Actors Sara Ali Khan and Karthik Aryan played the lead roles. Mohit Suri is the directorial Malang action thriller film with all its main characters being gray shades. The film received mixed reviews from critics. Apart from Aditya and Disha, Anil Kapoor and Kunal Khemu are in important roles. Apart from this, Aditya and Disha have come together on screen for the first time. Mohit had earlier given successful films like Aashiqui 2 with Aditya.
