Actress Malashree has received her first dose of COVID vaccine and shared the picture getting vaccinated with the caption, “Vaccinated Thumbs up #GetVaccinated #CovidVaccine #StaySafeStayHealthy.”
Many Sandalwood actors like Sriimurali, Ashika Ranganath, Puneeth Rajkumar, Shivarajkumar, Ramesh Aravind, among others, have taken the vaccine and are requesting people to get vaccinated.
Malashree, who was popularly known as Kansina Rani in late 80’s and 90’s, carved a niche for herself by portraying a variety of characters since her debut film Nanjundi Kalyana. She later featured in action films like Chamundi, Durgi, Kannadada Kiran Bedi, Shankti and Veera. Her movies Chamundi and Durga did exceedingly well at the box office.
The actress lost her husband Ramu on April 26 due to COVID-19 complications. Ramu had produced over 30 films earning the moniker Koti Ramu, because of producing big budget films. He was laid to rest at his native village in Tumkur. On the silver screen, Malashree was last seen in the movie Uppi Hulli Khara which was released in 2017. She had penned an emotional post to thank well-wishers and the film fraternity for supporting her in difficult times
