Adding to the heartbreak, Dr. Priya was eight months pregnant at the time of her demise. Her prematurely born newborn baby is currently receiving specialized care in the intensive care unit, as per reports.

The announcement of her passing came from fellow actor Kishor Satya, who took to Instagram to share the tragic news. In his post, he expressed the shock of the unexpected loss in the Malayalam television community, stating, "One more unexpected death in the Malayalam television sector. Dr. Priya died of cardiac arrest yesterday. She was 8 months pregnant. The baby is in the ICU. There were no other health issues."
