Male: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to the Maldives on the first overseas tour of his second term on Saturday. Ahead of his visit, Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid has announced that Prime Minister Modi will be conferred with the country's highest honor Rule of Nishan Izzuddeen. It is the highest honour to be given to foreign dignitaries.

This is Modi's first foreign trip after becoming the prime minister again, according to the information. He will go to the Maldives first, then visit Sri Lanka on Sunday.
