Old shows are being shown on TV due to lockdown. Doordarshan's show Ramayana has made a record in TRP. Apart from Ramayana, many old shows like Dekh Bhai Dekh, Tu Tota Main Maina is being shown. Many shows once again came in the discussion. One such Doordarshan's famous show is Malgudi Days. This show of Girish Karnad is counted in Epic Serials. The lead character of the show was a child named Swami. That character became quite famous. Swami's character was played by Master Manjunath. 

Manjunath started acting at the age of 3. He was a part of 68 Kannada, Telugu and Hindi films. But his most talked-about role was that of Swami. He acted in many super hit Kannada films. Apart from this, he also appeared in Amitabh Bachchan's film Agneepath. He played the character of Amitabh's childhood in the film. At the age of 19, he quit acting and started concentrating on his studies.

In an interview, Manjunath said while talking about Malgudi Days "I had already done 23 Kannada films when Malgudi Days came. I knew Mr Shankar Nag, the director of Malgudi Days. I did 6-7 films with him. I consider myself very lucky to play Swami. Currently, Manjunath is a PR professional. He is married and has also become a father."
