Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi by the middle of next week, according to reports. Banerjee is expected to travel to Delhi on November 22 and return on November 25, according to official sources. She is expected to meet with the Prime Minister and discuss ongoing issues during her two-day stay in the national capital.

According to sources in the Chief Minister's Office, the Chief Minister's meeting with the Prime Minister would likely centre on the state's pending financial dues and the BSF's recent expansion of its operation area from 15 to 50 kilometres. The chief minister is expected to meet with opposition leaders, including Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.

The BSF's expansion of its operational area has sparked political debate, with numerous Trinamool Congress officials speaking out against the Centre's move, claiming that it is an intrusion into the country's federal structure.

Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to express her displeasure with the Centre's decision. The Trinamool Congress has even planned to introduce a resolution in the Assembly on Tuesday to protest this. Sougata Roy, a senior Trinamool official, has stated that the party will raise its voice in Parliament during the winter session. Banerjee is set to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the problem, according to reports.
