Kolkata: West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee called PM Narendra Modi a "liar" during a rally on Wednesday and accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of bringing goons into the state. At a public rally in Vishnupur, CM Mamata Banerjee said that I respect the post of PM, but regretted saying that Narendra Modi lies.

She said that I have not seen a lie like PM Modi. They just lie. Who are the goons? Today, IPS officers are quitting their jobs in UP due to BJP's harassment. She also accused the BJP of bringing goons from Uttar Pradesh to destroy the culture of Bengal. Mamata Banerjee further said that farmers have been on the streets for more than a year and the centre has ensured that they will not be able to walk on the roads.

She said that pan-masala eaters and tilak planters were sent from states like UP, before the elections to cause problems here and they are outsiders for us. She said that "This is due to the three syndicates of PM Modi, Amit Shah, and Adani. Adani will loot all the money and products, only Modi, Shah, and Adani will get food. The rest can only shed tears."
