Mamata govt alerted after SSC scam, new ministers took oath

Kolkata: The cabinet reshuffle has been done on the recommendation of West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee following the teachers' recruitment scam (SSC scam) in West Bengal. On Wednesday, Governor L Ganesan administered the oath of office to the newly appointed ministers. All the cabinet members including Mamata Banerjee were present on the occasion.  

Former Union Minister Babul Supriyo, Jangipara MLA Snehasish Chakraborty, Parth Bhowmik, Udayan Guha, and Pradeep Majumdar were sworn in as full ministers on the occasion. Satyajit Barman and Tajmul Hussain were sworn in as Ministers of State. Biplab Rai Chaudhary and Birwaha Hajda were given the charge of ministers of the independent department. Let us know that Partha Chatterjee was removed from the post of the minister after his arrest in the SSC scam. Let us know that CM Mamata Banerjee had announced that the swearing-in ceremony of the new ministers will be held on Wednesday. Four ministers including Paresh Adhikari and Soumen Mohapatra have been discharged. Paresh Adhikari was accused of a teacher recruitment scam.

The Governor administered the oath of office to Babul Supriyo, Jangipara MLA Snehasish Chakraborty, Partha Bhowmik, Udayan Guha, and Pradeep Majumdar together as full ministers, while the independent ministers and state ministers were administered separate oaths. Birwaha Hasda took oath in the Santhali language. Let me tell you that earlier, Birwaha Hasda was the Minister of State, but this time he took oath as the Minister of Independent Charge. Five Cabinet Ministers and two Ministers of State and two Ministers of State and two Ministers of Independent Charge were sworn in on the occasion.
