Kolkata: PM Narendra Modi held a meeting with the state CM on Friday to brainstorm on several issues amid record-breaking corona cases. From Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to Karnataka CM Yediyurappa, all the leaders attended the meeting, but West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee was not seen at the meeting. When questions were raised about his absence, the CM himself held a press conference and clarified it.
Mamata Banerjee has claimed that she was not invited to attend the meeting. He said I had come to know that the PM is going to have a meeting today. But we were not invited. If we had, we would have joined. It is learned that the meeting has been held only with 10 states as the corona situation is very bad there. Mamata Banerjee said she was not invited to attend the meeting. Tell us that more than 10,000 new cases are being reported in West Bengal at present, and the situation is still afraid there. The ongoing elections between Corona have also added to the state's woes.
The BJP has questioned Mamata Banerjee's attitude several times. BJP leader Amit Malviya tweeted that Mamata Banerjee has not attended any meeting of PM Modi on Covid, she has always skipped these necessary meetings in the name of campaigning. Several other BJP leaders have also termed Mamata Banerjee's strategy in the Corona war as weak and directionless. On the other hand, in every election meeting, Mamata has been accusing the BJP of spreading corona in the state.
