Kolkata: Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamta Banerjee on Monday claimed Amit Shah did not eat food made in the home of tribal family during his visit of Bankura. She claimed he didn'tt eat food, rather eaten Basmati rice and had insulted Birsa Munda by garlanding the statue of the hunter named Birsa Munda.
It is noteworthy that Amit Shah reached Bankura during the Bengal tour in the first week of November. There he had food in the house of a tribal family. At the same time, there was a ruckus over the garlanding of the statue of Birsa Munda. TMC supremo and Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee started her district journey from Bankura itself. Addressing the gathering at Khatra in Bankura district, Mamta Banerjee has said, “Our Union Home Minister had come. Arrived for food at tribal's house. This was shown to the people. Some are cutting vegetables, some are taking out coriander leaves, some are cutting cabbage, but he did not eat food made in that house, instead they brought their own cook. "
Mamta Banerjee further said, “Amit Shah ate basmati rice and Posta. He had garlanded a statue, but it was not a statue of Birsa Munda, but he offered flowers to a statue of a hunter. It is like disrespecting Birsa Munda. "
