Raiganj: West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee mocking the BJP leaders' rath yatra, saying that they are behaving as if they are Gods. Banerjee has alleged that the political agenda of BJP leaders is to create divisions in the society on the basis of religion and the BJP is spreading lies about Hinduism.

Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee while addressing a rally in Raiganj has said that Rath Yatra is a religious festival. She says that we all participate in it. We know that Lord Jagannath, Balaram, and Bhagwati Subhadra travel in those chariots, but BJP leaders are performing rath yatras to fulfill their political objectives of creating division in the society and fighting each other. BJP leaders are performing rath yatras as if they are Gods.

Banerjee has accused the BJP of bringing people from outside the state for the assembly elections to be held in April-May, claiming that leaders of the saffron party are eating food in the homes of local people only to be photographed. Accusing them of bringing food from five-star hotels, she has said that some outsiders are coming in luxurious cars and eating in the homes of villagers to get photographed.
