Kolkata: West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) President Mamata Banerjee is gearing up for the assembly bypolls in the state these days. Addressing a rally in the Bhowanipore Assembly constituency on Wednesday, Mamata Didi launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
CM Mamata Banerjee directly took the names of PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah and hit out at them. The TMC supremo attacked Modi-Shah saying, "Narendra Modi Ji, Amit Shah Ji, we will not allow you to make India like the Taliban. India will remain one. Gandhi Ji, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Swami Vivekananda, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Guru Nanak Ji, Gautam Buddha, Mahavir Jain, all will live together in this country. We will not let anyone divide India.''
Mamata Banerjee is facing a direct contest from BJP's Priyanka Tibrewal in the Bhowanipore assembly seat. In view of this, CM Mamata Banerjee took a dig at the BJP at the rally. She further said that the BJP is a 'Jumla' party. They lie that we do not allow Durga Puja, Lakshmi Puja in Bengal. But if the BJP people continue to impose Section 144, how will Durga Puja take place?
