Kolkata: Mamta Banerjee government of West Bengal will give pension of 1000 thousand rupees every month to scheduled caste elders. The Mamta government has presented a budget of Rs 2,55,677 crore to the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. According to a media report, in the West Bengal budget 2020-21, the Mamata Banerjee government of the state has introduced a new scheme 'Bandhu Prakalp'.

According to this scheme, the Bengal government will give a pension of 1000 rupees every month to the elderly above 60 years of scheduled caste. However, a condition for this is that the pensioner elderly is not being given pension under any other scheme. Along with this, the Mamta Banerjee government has also announced to waive agricultural income tax of tea gardens for the next two financial years. On the lines of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of Delhi, the West Bengal government has also announced free electricity.

As part of its decision, the Mamata Banerjee government will not take bills from people consuming 75 units of electricity in three months. Let us tell you that in the budget of West Bengal, a proposal has been made to create 100 small and medium industry parks in the next three years, an allocation of Rs 200 crore for this item for 2020-21.
