KOLKATA: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee delivered a harsh warning to party leaders and workers on Thursday over the practise of commission for public service.

"I'm requesting that people not accept money that is less than the sums set forth in the direct cash transfer benefit plan. If someone urges you to take less money, file a police report against them. There would be no exceptions, "While speaking at a public rally in Jhargram, the chief minister stated.

The chief minister launched a scathing attack on the BJP and the Union government without directly referring to the incident of former state education minister and Trinamool Congress secretary general Partha Chatterjee being grilled by the CBI in the case of West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) recruitment irregularities. "After being defeated, the BJP feels envious. So now they are now using certain government agencies against us. The BJP should not be trusted "said the chief minister.

The chief minister used the opportunity to criticise the previous Left Front government in West Bengal for recruiting issues. "During the CPI(M) era, recruitment was based on suggestions written on little paper slips by ruling party leaders. Even transfers were done based on the recommendation on the paper slip. I haven't opened my mouth yet out of politeness. But now I'm going to reveal everything "Mamata Banerjee said.
