It also needed the use of masks in order to maintain physical distance. The district administration, police commissioners, and local governments have been instructed to ensure that the directives properly adhere.

"Any violation of the restriction measures would be prosecuted under the terms of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, as well as the Indian Penal Code," according to the statement. The order was issued after the state electoral board postponed elections in four municipal corporations because to the rising number of Covid-19 cases.
