Kolkata: Manipur has been hotbed by tribal conflict for quite some time now. The number of dead in continuous clashes is increasing. Terrorized people are leaving the state and taking shelter in other states. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Army Chief Manoj Pandey have reached there to discuss the situation with conflicting parties. Now Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has expressed her desire to go to the troubled Manipur with a message of peace. She has written a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah in this regard seeking permission to visit Manipur.

According to the report, CM Mamata said that she had said in the letter that she just wanted to go to Manipur for a day. That is why she is seeking permission to go to Manipur. She  has written a letter. Only after that they have left. She said that she was already saying go, but did not go. She should tell the people of the country what is the condition of the people of Manipur and how many people have lost their lives. Along with this, the anti-terrorist operation is also going on. So far, 40 militants have been killed. On Tuesday, the Manipur government announced a financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh and a government job to the victims. The state and the Centre will work together to help.

Earlier, CM Mamata expressed concern over the unrest in Manipur and made arrangements to open a control room with the help of migrants there. Many students who went to study in Manipur have returned home with the help of Naban. That is, the state government is monitoring the situation in Manipur from the beginning.
