Kolkata: Bengal government employees demanding Dearness Allowance (DA) have been given permission by the Kolkata High Court to change the course of the 'Nabanna campaign'. Judge Rajshekhar Mantha of the Calcutta High Court has approved the Nabanna campaign program of government employees. The organization of government employees will march from Farighat to Bankim Setu, MG Road and Howrah Maidan. State government employees will take out this procession on May 4.

In fact, these employees of the Bengal government have been protesting for a long time demanding DA dues and protesting against Mamta Banerjee's government. However, Mamta Banerjee has turned down the demand for increasing DA several times. According to the High Court's decision, the route the government employees thought they would go. Nabanna cannot go through that path. Several organizations of government employees, including the Coordination Committee, had approached the Calcutta High Court demanding the Nabanna campaign program of the DA on 4 May. The matter was heard on Tuesday.

During the hearing, the judge wanted to know from the Bengal government that where is the objection in allowing the procession? According to the state, the route through which the procession is being told. It is a very dense area. School gets dismissed at 2:30 pm. There is traffic problem on that route. The state had proposed another route, which has been accepted.
