Kolkata: Elections are going on in the country right now, and in the meantime, there has also been a lot of stir in politics. Meanwhile, in the Bengal Assembly elections, the biggest battle is to be fought in Nandigram and from where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has made preparations. Addressing the public meeting on Tuesday, Mamata Banerjee reminded the Nandigram movement. Mamata Banerjee said that someone will try to divide. Do not listen to such persons. I can forget my name, but not Nandigram.
She further said that Kali Puja was happening at my house when the agitation was going on in Nandigram. Everyone remembers the way the shooting took place on 14 March. I was going alone to Nandigram. An attempt was being made to stop me. The governor called me and told me that you should not go to Nandigram at night. Even after various atrocities, I did not back down. I was also shot at but kept on for Bengal. Due to this many such people should have been with us, but they did not come.
Mamata said that there is no movement of Nandigram because Singur is not there. I am the daughter of the village. I had already thought that this time I will fight Nandigram or Singur. You guys have confessed to me, so have come to Nandigram. If you do not like me contesting here, then I will not file a form. I will file the nomination only after your acceptance. Due to this, Mamata Banerjee recited Chandi on the stage.
