New Delhi:- An overweight British Airways passenger has been removed from a first class seat after being stuck for three hours on a plane at Heathrow. The man discovered he couldn't get up after a 6.5-hour flight that landed before 5am on Saturday and the crew members of the British Airways flight couldn't help him, either.

Emergency services were called, they pulled the door open and eventually freed the passenger with a winch.

A BA insider said the passenger was mortified, particularly as the seat in the £7,000 flat he was sitting in was the most spacious available.

Passengers flew into Heathrow from Nigeria in seat 1A, which is often the most coveted seat on the plane and costs £7,000 but comes with fine food and wine.

A technical note seen by The Sun said: 'A volume passenger is stuck in seat 1A. The plan was to remove the door from the suite and use a crane to push it out of the chair.
