The police have arrested a man from Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh who allegedly abducted a 15-year-old girl from Kochi as per stated by police. The man had asked a ransom of Rs five lakh from the girl's parents to release her.
Sharma also threatened her parents, saying the girl would be sold in the sex trade if the ransom is not paid, police said, adding today was the deadline set by him to pay the amount.
Sharma got in touch with the girl through Facebook, introducing himself as a film producer.He abducted the girl promising her a role in a Hindi movie, police said.
