London: Police arrested a 23-year-old man on the charges of rape inside Britain's Houses of Parliament. The incident occurred in the early hours of last Friday and the suspect was detained later that day. According to the police, he was not a lawmaker.
Police said that, “the man had been released on bail until January, awaiting further inquiries”.
A spokesman for the House of Commons said, “they were aware of the incident and parliament was working closely with police.”
