The man has been identified as Raham-ul-Ansari and he was suffering from a serious disease called Temporomandibular Joint Ankylosis since birth. He was unable to open his mouth completely from birth till now. The person was surviving only on beverages for the last 20 years. Not only this he has not eaten any grain till now. The young man also faced a lot of difficulties in speaking as he was not able to open his mouth completely.
Raham kept visiting the hospitals for several days for treatment, but due to the seriousness of the disease and the complexity of the surgery, he could not be treated. Raheem-ul’s surgery was done at Health Point Hospital and the surgery was very successful as a result he is can eat properly and all the things he wants to eat now.
The doctor who performed Raheem-ul’s surgery, in this case, said that not only the surgery of temporomandibular joint ankylosis is complicated but giving anesthesia is also a very difficult task. Dr. Anuj told that due to ankylosis, the lower jaw of the patient was completely attached to the bone of his skull on both sides. He further told there are many such patients who are leading a cursed life due to such diseases due to lack of proper information.
