Man sentenced 10 year imprisonment for smuggling dry ganja

Vishakhapatnam:  A 38 year old men sentenced to 10 years simple imprisonment for smuggling dry ganja in 2015 by local court.  

First Additional District and Session Judge N Narasinga Rao yesterday also slapped a fine of Rs one lakh on the convict - Andavarapu Appa Rao. Accused is a resident of Devarapalle area here was convicted under section 20 (B) of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

Rao runs a tea-stall and caught smuggling around 40 kgs dry ganja in 2015. Later he was arrested by Devarapalle Police.
