English Premier League club Manchester United have canceled plans to play pre-season matches on a tour of India in view of the covid-19 crisis. United's team was in touch with officials about the pre-season match to be played in Kolkata later this year. Football has either been postponed or canceled at this time due to coronavirus.

It was expected that the Manchester United club's tour of India to be played in the pre-season match in July-August was to be held before the start of the next season.

According to the Daily Mail report, United sources confirmed that there is no insurance, as it was still at the planning stage and the agreement was yet to be signed. Manchester United had earlier said that it was planning to play a pre-season friendly against East Bengal on the Asia tour. Not only Manchester United, but Manchester City have also reportedly canceled a primate tour of Asia and Europe.
